The Old Dominion Appalachian Trail Club (ODATC) is a trail maintenance club and a member of the Appalachian Trail Conference (ATC).  Our mission is the construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including that portion of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail between Reed's Gap and Rockfish Gap. We also provide excursions on this trail or in other areas and conduct educational activities related to the need for preserving areas suitable for outdoor recreation.

Club sponsored activities over the year include numerous opportunities for members and their guests to:

bulletrepair, maintain and relocate sections of the Club's approximately 18 miles of trail
bulletmonitor plant and animal life along the trail corridor
bullethike and backpack on the AT and other trails in Virginia, other states, and, occasionally, other countries
bulletcanoe or kayak on Virginia's rivers
bulletski (downhill and cross country)
bulletjoin with others on historic or cultural theme hikes
bulletparticipate in group and family camping trips
bulletmeet and network with members of other ATC-affiliated clubs and organizations
